Opis (srp)

Opis (eng)

The subject of research of this doctoral dissertation is possibility of expert system’s application in a process of discrete spectra analysis in different area of physics, as well as the analysis of expert system’s methodology. The goals that were set to the author of this dissertation were to: 1. Determine the methodological foundation of the expert systems through analysis of a possibility of transformation of the syllogistic form in the form of rules which are the most used element for the building of the expert systems. 2. Develop some general procedures in the process of spectra analysis. 3. Develop the expert system for analysis of spectra of natural radionuclides. To achieve these goals, we improved and applied the existing, and developed some new routines. For making expert system ESBT I2+ was used, as well as some procedural languages. The text is organized as follows: The first chapter is Introduction which contains general remarks about expert systems. The second chapter introduced and defined terms such as artificial intelligence, knowledge based system, knowledge. The third chapter “Expert systems” gives detailed description of expert systems. Special attention is dedicated to production rules. Also the used ESBT is presented, as well as some other tools which can be used. In the fourth chapter the results of the candidate’s work are presented. The methodology and realization of expert systems are described. Aristotle logic is considered, as well as syllogism as the most important achievement of Aristotle’s logic. The fifth chapter contains description of the radioactive decay. Without much detail it shows different decay’s mechanisms: α, β, γ and fission. The terms isotope, radionuclides and radioactive decays are introduced. The problem of artificial radioactivity is discussed. The sixth chapter also presents the original research work. It contains detailed description of developed expert system. The advantages of expert system’s application in the process of considered spectra analysis are described.
