Internacionalizacija nacionalnih privreda, usled rastuće uloge međunarodnetrgovine i težnje zemalja za aktivnijim učešćem u međunarodnim ekonomskimtokovima, zahteva angažovanje u pronalaženju načina za efikasnijim pristupom iaktivnijom ulogom domaće industrije u globalnim lancima snabdevanja i vrednosti.Istovremeno, kontinuirani privredni rast i razvoj predstavljaju imperativ usavremenim okolnostima što iziskuje potrebu za implementacijom novih razvojnihobrazaca, pre svega u kontekstu podizanja životnog standarda stanovništva,unapređenja položaja zemalja u međunarodnom okruženju, kroz podizanje nivoanacionalne i industrijske konkurentnosti i intenziviranje spoljnotrgovinskihtokova. U tom cilju, koncept međunarodne trgovinske logistike pruža osnov zaformulisanje inovativnog modela koji fokus stavlja na logističke performanse ufunkciji industrijskog razvoja zemalja. Predmet doktorske disertacije jesteutvrđivanje doprinosa logistike i njenih determinanti u razvoju industrije, krozispitivanje uticaja logističkih performansi na ključne makroekonomskedeterminante industrijskog razvoja zemalja Evropske unije i Zapadnog Balkana. Ucilju testiranja istraživačkih hipoteza sprovedena je panel regresiona analizakorišćenjem fiksnih i random efekata. Rezultati ukazuju na pozitivan i statističkiznačajan uticaj logističkih determinanti na sve posmatrane dimenzije industrijskograzvoja, što daje validne implikacije na teorijskom i praktičnom nivou.

The internationalization of national economies due to the growing role of international tradeand the desire of countries for more active participation in international economic flowsrequires engagement in finding ways for more efficient access and a more active role ofdomestic industry in global supply and value chains. At the same time, continuous economicgrowth and development are imperative in modern circumstances, which requires theimplementation of new development patterns, especially in the context of raising livingstandards, improving the position of countries in the international environment, raisingnational and industrial competitiveness, and intensifying foreign trade flows. To this end, theconcept of international trade logistics provides a basis for formulating an innovative modelthat focuses on logistics performance in the function of industrial development of countries.The subject of the doctoral dissertation is to determine the contribution of logistics and itsdeterminants in the development of industry, by examining the impact of logisticsperformance on key macroeconomic determinants of industrial development in the EuropeanUnion and the Western Balkans. In order to test the research hypotheses, a panel regressionanalysis was performed using fixed and random effects. The results indicate a positive andstatistically significant impact of logistical determinants on all observed dimensions of theindustrial development dimension, which gives valid implications on a theoretical andpractical level.
